What’s your momentum right now?

We all experience the stop start of life, even more so now we’ve arrived in the second half of the year. At times like this, it can feel like we are not really getting anywhere and on other occasions life seems to flash by. But there comes a critical moment in life where you have to assess if your momentum is at the speed you need it to be if you want to Retire Right.

The process when meeting clients for the first time is a very exciting time; the rush of adrenalin when you come together for the first time to begin a new relationship. BUT it is the steady pace of gathering information and understanding what makes a new client tick. Once we find out what is important to you, the momentum shifts to recommending a strategy and working to get it implemented so you are fast tracking towards living the life you want to live.

Once we have completed the implementation process, we make a real point of ensuring that our clients understand how important our relationship is. Maintaining the pace and building to meet each goal along the way means we are always adjusting and addressing the pace of your life.

Those who have set themselves up for retirement the best, are those who have put in the time to ensure that they have continued the positive momentum that they obtain in the  planning process and leverage that on the transition to retirement.

“I often refer to the pre-retirement process as being like an on Old Steam Train ride through the mountains.”

Getting a Century Old Steam Train up and going can often take a fair amount of effort, just like setting up and implementing the initial stages of a Pre-Retirement plan. But once it is up and established it is a fantastic ride. The speed that you can generate provides the momentum you need to allow you to overcome many of the hills that may present themselves (ie market conditions or changes in the political environment) along the journey to the retirement. By ensuring that you are continuing to proactively drive your pre-retirement, these hill are a lot easier to get over, rather than having to start again if you aren’t regularly attending to your strategy.

There have been many changes over recent years to superannuation so it it important to continue to make the adjustments that are right for you by reviewing and monitoring how you are going to Retire Right.

Don’t underestimate the importance of the ongoing relationship with a Financial Adviser or Coach. By ensuring that you have an active relationship with your adviser, you will remain on track to achieve your goals, whatever they may be.

There are many things to consider as you approach retirement, let’s face it we all want to achieve a lifestyle at the pace we enjoy.

Will you achieve the momentum you need to Retire Right?
